Staffan Widstrand had one awarded image in each of the two most important European nature photography competitions in 2004. Both in the European Nature Photographer of the Year 2004 by GDT, Germany, and the worldwide BBC Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2004. This is Staffans ninth awarded image in the BBC competition – widely considered the World´s Number One nature photography competition. And his fourth awarded image in the GDT competition.
